Prepare before applying
- Find the Social Security Field Unit for the applicant’s residential address, or download the relevant Social Security Allowance application form.
- Prepare the applicant’s identity document and the address, income and asset proof requested in the relevant application guide. Requirements vary by allowance.
- Applications may be made in person or by an authorised relative. Some can also be submitted by phone, online form, email or post.
